About Johann Christoph Denner.
Johann was born on August 13th 1655, but passed April 20th 1707. He arrived at Nuremberg in 1666, and was a horn turner with his father, Heinrich Denner. In the year 1681 he had his first son, Jacob Denner, and when Jacob was 10 years old, he had another son, Johann David Denner. His sons learned how to make instruments from their father. His son Jacob became a very famous performer.
Jacob passed away in 1735, and was praised for his work on the oboe 'Which he handled so finely... and played so admirably that his like was never heard in Nuremberg'.
His brother Johann passed in 1764, and was a 'musician, also maker of oboes, bassoons and flutes.'
