These are a few steps on how to really Care for your instrument.
1) When opening your Clarinet case, make sure the locks are facing down. If they face up, when you open the case, the pieces will come out. That could possibly harm the pieces of the Clarinet.
2) If you take the Clarinet home, make sure to leave it where nobody can get at it but you. If you have any animals at home, make sure that they won't be able to get to it.
3) If you have your Clarinet on a vehicle, it'd be a good choice not to open it. The pieces could come out, and get lost in the car.
4) Do not put your Clarinet, or case on anything but the floor. If the Clarinet is on a table or chair, then it could fall and possibly get harmed. If the case falls, the same thing could happen. If you put your Clarinet on the floor, make sure to position so the keys aren't on the floor.
5) Make sure to clean it regularly. You don't want stuff to get in the Clarinet, that could make a messy situation.
6) Don't let anybody who doesn't know how to handle it, play with it. They could harm/break the instrument if not careful.
7) If something happens to your Clarinet, immediately go to somebody who will know how to fix it. Like a teacher, or your conductor.
